Darker amber color with a definitive haze. Lasting smallish head. Plenty of blotches on the glass as the beer is consumed.
Caramel malt smell initially. Semisweet. The hop is floral and fainter.
The taste is dryer than the smell and far more hoppy. Decent body with an elevated carbonation. The taste dries out for the swallow. This draws out a far more bitter finish and leaves a moderately long aftertaste.

Pours a semi clear dark amber with thick, soft head.
Smell is fruity with notes of pine, grapefruit, caramel, te and fudge.
Taste is fruity with a solid bitterness and notes of pine, grapefruit, carame, malt fudge and black tea.
Mouthfeel is medium, sticky, smooth and well carbonated.
Overall, a very nice old school west coast IPA.

Clown Shoes Beer "Galactica Dank Nebula"
12 fl. oz. can coded "Best By 01/31/24 275 15:57" and sampled on 01/02/24
$21.99 / 12 Beers Of Christmas variety case @ COSTCO, Christiana, DE
Notes via stream of consciousness: A rough pour has brought up an inch of off-white foam atop a hazy deep amber colored body. The aroma is piney, biscuity, and citrusy. It's not the brightest aroma for an IPA but it's pretty good. The taste follows the aroma but it's much fuller. The malt is lightly caramelish and bready, and there's a good amount of pine and "dank" character to it. It's citrusy and tropical with notes of peach, grapefruit, apple, passionfruit, and apricot. It's also floral, earthy, and a little spicy/peppery. A solid bitterness backs it and it finishes dry, earthy, and spicy with some mild citrus. In the mouth it's medium bodied and gently crisp. I didn't notice the alcohol but quite often in piney beers I miss it, and this one is only 7.2%. The head retention and lacing could have been better but I can live with that as it's otherise an all-around solid West Coast IPA.

12 oz can exp date 1/31/24 into a Becher glass.
L: SRM 5 Pours 90% clear rusty caramel color with a thin eggshell white head that recedes to a thick skin, fine steady carbonation, assorted medium-thin webby sticky lacing.
S: Caramelized malts, hard candy, a hint of brown bread.
T: Piney hops, lightly rich caramelized malts, citrus notes, tangelo, lime zest, has a long light zesty & resinous linger. Tastes are simple.
F: Moderately brisk, smooth, medium-bodied feel with a medium-length smooth & lightly drying finish.
O: Not really a complex beer. Pine and zest-forward tastes, soft, and quenching. Semi-rich malts and fruity hops are well balanced. Checks all the boxes for its style. It is very good to excellent.

A- huge fluffy head, nondescript brownish amber color, transparent
S- huge lemon and other citrus hits up front. Seems pleasant at first but one dimensional, but further sniffs and this one opens up. A nice touch of subtle earthy pine comes up and elevates it. This aroma reminds me of a lot of IPAs circa early 2010s.
T- pine, lemon, oily resin in the aftertaste. Subtle, but good. Again tastes like a throwback IPA
M- smooth and oily, highly carbonated
Overall it’s a dang tasty beer. Nothing earth shattering but it’s extremely solid

12 FL. OZ. can
Served in a snifter
This beer pours a murky copper hue and is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves little lacing.
Citrus aroma with a focus on grapefruit. Definitely a malt presence
Grapefruit upfront. I get some malt flavor. Resin in the finish
Light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel
Rather malty for a west coast IPA. It might just be old. Throw the old IPAs in a holiday mix 12 pack to unload them.
