Location: Neo-SoCal. Where all the real galactic G's vacation in 3023. Our hero is heading to her resort bar to grab a cold SoCal Citra. With a hearty dose of Citra hops, this Galactica variant ensures we keep notes of lemon, melon, and passionfruit in while keeping sand out. (Hop-armor tan lines not included)

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden color with a puffy head of white foam. The head has a good level of retention, fading over time and leaving lots of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of a piney and herbal hop smell mixed with a decent showing of bready and caramel smells. Along with these aromas comes some lighter grapefruit and notes of melon and pear with a touch of spent grain and hay.
Taste – The taste starts out with a moderately bready flavor paired with a decent showing of hop. The hop is heaviest of a pine and herbal flavor with some earthy notes mixed within. At the same time there is some caramel and light apricot sweetness with the former getting stronger as the taste advances. At the same time the earth and pine grow a bit stronger as well, all while there is a touch of mustiness that works its way onto the tongue, leaving one with a somewhat malty, but decently hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the medium in thickness with a average carbonation level. For the tastes the feel is pretty decent and makes for a nice easy sipping brew.
Overall – A nice IPA overall. Fun to try and for the most part fairly balanced and not overly citrusy.

Light amber with thin white head, not much retention, spotty lacing
Mango, pine, meyer lemon, passionfruit, melon hop aroma
Lemon, passionfruit, honeydew, a little pine, slight caramel malt, lemon pith finish
Medium bodied, could use more carbonation
not my favorite.
