Hand-pulled pint in The Wyndham Arms (their brewery tap in Salisbury) on 12th Oct 2013.
Pale, straw blond in colour (like so many of their beers), with a thin white covering for a head.
As the name might suggest, the aroma and taste were of a hoppy nature, but nothing was strong enough to give it a bitter or repugnant over hopped smell or taste.
OK, but moving towards bland in my eyes. In fact I had to have a bottle of Entire Stout as my second beer, just to give my senses something to do.

I managed to get this cask-condition bitter at Mahar's in Albany, NY (see separate beerfly review). It poured a light, golden hue with just a hint of cloudiness, and it came with a thin white head that left a symmetrical ringed lace as I drank. The smell was of understated hops and some subtle grains. The taste followed suit; there was a good backbone of hops and a touch of ginger spiciness. The taste mellowed slowly to a fresh-bread yeastiness. The mouthfeel was thick, but smooth and with little carbonation--not surprising for a cask-conditioned ale. A worthy choice, but expensive and obviously hard to find.
