Dark copper color, minimal foam.
The smell is very english. Hop, tea leaf. Powdery, few maltiness, light earthly notes, in the hop territory. Inviting.
The taste is on light maltiness, full, even if light malt.
Delicate.
Same notes on the aftertaste.
It's here, balanced, ok.
English, session beer. Very drinkable.

Sampled at the (brewery owned) pub Jolly Farmer just the other day while in Weybridge, Surrey. Served off the cask both as a sample and as a half pint. This is listed as their best bitter and was explained as being more bitter than the Summer Lightning, which was also on tap.
Super clear yellow with varied streams of carbonation feeding a light white head.
Very light floral hop aroma.
Slight sharpness to the earthy/floral kick off the initial sips. Lacked a bit of body and strength to the flavor. Seemed to pale in comparison to the Summer Lightning, which was first drank. Nice, worth a couple. The look of it would confuse the many lager drinkers in the town...

Tasted this beer on cask at my East London local by a pint two days ago, and my pint was the freshest one after the barrel was changed! Great opportunity to review this beer, which, according to Hopback's new advertisement, is a new release but I don't know how much it's related to the brand's regular Best Bitter...(?)
Appearance: in the straight pint glass it comes in clear, dark-amber to copper colour; a very thin layer of white head full of visible big bubbles somehow manages to sustain for quite a while. The carbonation is kept at the minimum.
Smell: on nose I fail to identify too many different notes, some leafy, hayish hops and light malts are noticeable though.
Taste & Aftertaste: smooth flowery (elderflower) hops arrive before very light peachy and lime kind of fruity taste and light-roasted maltiness; medium-dry bitter finish and sustained bitter-sweetness at the back of my throat. Good amount of aromatic hops also help provide the depth as well as the lingering and clean mouthfeel, I think.
Mouthfeel & Drinkability: with a very balanced structure, the mouthfeel thickens from initially flat to smooth. It's yet another solid, quaffable and tasty brew by the Hopback brewery.
