A bit watery. A bit loose. This is a good idea, but they went too soft with the hops. I would love more bitterness on the nose and the tongue. My .02 cents.

A pretty average beer. Probably the most wishy-washy and watery hop flavor of any "IPA" I have ever tasted. If you are looking for an IPA, I would try something else. Decent beer overall, but I was hoping for an IPA and this is not really doing it for me.

agave based ipa, i like the intersection of this unique sugar with the hops, and its thankfully pretty dry, not sweet at all. you do get that lush earthy planty flavor from the agave, and the hops are pretty spicy, so it has a very unique flavor. pale in color, beautifully heady, and pretty bubbly. it smells a touch sweet, but more the intense hops, spice and grass and bitterness. its plenty bitter in the finish, with a unique sweetness in it from the agave. its not like tequila at all, which i dont know why i expected, its just the flavor of the nectar, almost like honey. well hopped, as smooth as this is, its pretty aggressive. i think twisted pine is most successful when they do these more experimental beers, carrot ipas and such. they need to do more of this kind of thing, its one of their better beers i have had.

Poured into an IPA glass.

Look: A really hazy light copper body sits under a light cream colored head with a thick film of retention. Lots of random spots of lacing.

Aroma: Very piny and woody, but also with a slight touch of sweetness from agave nectar.

Taste: Very woody and dry, lots of cedar and pine. Maybe a touch of agave nectar in the finish, but very hard to distinguish.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied and very dry.

Overall: A little bit more agave sweetness and this would be really, really good. I still like it, just a tad on the dry side.
