To commemorate the occasion, Twisted Pine will release its grand cru, Twenty to Life, a canary-colored Belgo-American ale with a light, bright body and tropical fruit finish. The special release will be available in 22 oz. bomber bottles and on draft at the brewery and select locations around Colorado. The Twisted brewers will tap other special treats throughout the day, as well, including several small batches brewed for the occasion and aged ales from the cellar reserves.

bingo! this might be the best ive had from twisted pine, super super different and really well done. i think people hate on them a little bit because some of the core beers are less than stellar, but every new one ive had from them lately has been really impressive, and this one tops that list i think. its pale in color, clearish, with a standard three quarters of an inch of milky white head. smells powerful right off the bat, a tropical based hop, and maybe some acidulated malt, tangy and mouthwatering. the taste is a lot like the nose, for a minute it seems like nelson hops, then a sweet lemon thing like sorachi ace, but i dont think its either, maybe amarillo real late and dry hopped, hard to tell. the yeast is loosely belgian, but free of all the esters and gummy notes we often get in american made belgian blondes and pales. tremendous balance too, the hops are pungent and different, the tang is cool, makes it less belgian and more refreshing, and the whole thing confuses me, in that its hard to decipher each element, it doesnt really fit any style too well, it challenges me, and i like that a lot. its super drinkable too, just really great beer. absolutely worth finding.

Pale, golden color with a small, fuzzy white head. Smelled floral with we caramel and peach notes. Tasted yeasty and spicy with tropical fruits. Really nice brew.
