Draft at the brewpub. Fresh hop/harvest beer.
Pours a cloudy golden orange color with tangerine hues and a one finger, white foam head that quickly settles into a thin ring. Minimal spots of lacing.
The nose of this beer is pretty dull with only faint earthy hops and a more prominent malt character. Hints of caramel and biscuit along with faint citrus. For a fresh hop beer the aroma is weak and disappointing. Not offensive just boring.
Medium bodied but on the fuller end of the spectrum with a muted hop presence and sweet caramel malt backbone. Faint bitterness and dry, earthy pine flavor with but the hop presence is minimal. Malt backbone is way too strong with lots of caramel, toffee and biscuit. This is a fresh hop beer but it was being served in May so I'm not sure how fresh it was. Either way the hops are very faint and the malt dominance kills whatever was there.
