On tap at the brewery.
A: Twisted Pine's Noel Tripel arrived in a small goblet with a short eggshell head and a hazy peach hue. The head fell fairly quickly to a patchwork sheet of foam and left bit of lace behind.
S: Fairly standard Tripel fare, but good nonetheless. Pale fruits dominate with pear and green grape. A light coriander spice backs up the sweet aromas. The slightest whiff of alcohol rounds things out.
T: Very white wine like up front. The pale fruits from the nose provide a nice crispness. Bitterness is well balanced and a peppery. Despite its strength, the alcohol is well masked. The finish is a bit short, but carries the pale fruit and pepper flavors with it.
M: The beer is dry and deceptively light. The carbonation is soft and right where it should be.
O: This is a really nice seasonal. It's on the strong side for a Tripel; in my opinion, but drinks light like I expect from this style. Overall, a very solid offering from the folks a Twisted Pine.
