Copenhagen 13/4 2021. 33 cl bottle from Beerdealer web-shop. Viven’s usual design with a light brown label made out to look like ancient scroll-paper. Grey-brown letters and logo.
Pours cloudy, pale yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles as thin, frothy layer of foam clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, sugary sent of wheat malts mingling with light tart notes, Sweet lemonade with blood orange, white sugar and elderflower. Light whiff of citrus.
Strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderate sourness. Aftertaste is sweet and lingers for a bit. Finish is fairly dry.
A bit too sweet for my taste buds - both when it comes to champagne and beer. They go for a Doux cup of champagne here.
