Pours a slightly cloudy, dark amber, coppery coloration with a small, fizzy head. Smells of caramel malt, red berries, with notes of cranberry and redcurrant, as well as a distinct flowery hop accent and hints of citrus. Taste is a decent balance of caramel malt and floral, grassy, slightly citrussy hops and red berries, with notes of tangerine, redcurrant and cranberry, as well as hints of heather honey, toffee and almond. Finishes bittersweet, with a light bitterness and some caramel malt, citrus, red berries and honey lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a rich body and light/medium carbonation.

This is a slightly odd combination of an English and American Barleywine, being quite sweet and fruity, but also rather hoppy, although not as bitter and resinous as American Barleywines tend to be and rather very floral, grassy and citrussy, with those strong floral notes almost feeling kinda soapy, unfortunately. There are also some rather distinct berry notes to this, as well as hints of honey and almond. Overall, this makes for an interesting barelywine with a somewhat unusual flavor profile that isn't really for me, to be honest. While I do like the citrus and berry notes to this, it's just way too floral and soapy for my personal taste.

Bottle at Las Buenas Pulgas, served in a balloon glass. Amber reddish color, almost no head, no lacing. Aroma of caramel, honey, hops, citrics. Medium body, flat carbonation, rough texture. Sweet finish. Taste of honey, caramel, citrics. Good, not exceptional.

Pours a murky amber-brown color with a medium top off white head that dissolves quickly. Aroma is of caramel, dark malts, raisins, citrus and candies.
The taste is sweet with notes of dried fruits that is ballanced nicely with malty caramel notes in the back. The finish is dry with hoppy notes and leaves a long aftertaste. Very sweet but complex and nicely ballanced.
Mouthfeel is soft and smooth with a medium carbonation and a medium body.
A very nice barleywine.
