Teku glass.
A: Reddish brown/mahogny with small very light brown, short-lasting head. Low lacing.
S: Honey liquor aromas. High hoppy aromas - herbal, dried fruits, grapes. Really complex aromas of canned, sticky tropical fruits, ripe grapefruit, brown sugar. All good
T: Taste is medium-heavy sweet. High caramel, honey taste, bubblegum, brown sugar. Hops taste is really complex and wide - sticky mango, ripe grapes, sticky pine resin. Medium bitterness. Aftertaste is earthy, mineral, little bit tabbaco.
M: Mediuml body. Sticky texture. Soft carbonation. Medium alcohol warmth. Nice smooth bitter finish.
O: Decent work. Lots of good sweet stuff packed here. Very drinkable and fruity. There is some inbalance between sweet malty character and bitterness. This beer remind me de Molen Open Bloot and Pais and Vree.

Bright mahogany with slight creme brulee head.
Candied orange nose with an intriguing hint of whiskey.
Caramel, poached pears, brandy, and vanilla, then Cointreau hops.
Cream soda finish and maple candy linger.
Round, verging on full, only slight burn.
A properly hoppy barleywine. The first RC I've tasted without Mario yeast, and I think that's the difference here. Wouldn't guess 13%, though I wonder about barreling with some of the sweet tones.
The best Rev Cat by far.
