Served in a tulip. The beer poured a good caramel color with a one finger head.

The aroma was a nice caramel, the mouth feel pleasantly carbonated.

The finish needs work. It's the weakest element in the beer.
The finish is overwhelmingly alcoholic- masking the flavors. There is slight caramel to the finish- but the alcohol is dominant. The beer could be improved with a better, smoother finish characteristic of this style.

 

Pours a dark brown w/ crimson highlights if held up to the light. Nice two finger cocoa head that sticks around a long time. Excellent carbonation and lacing on this beer. Caramel malt, fruit are the main things that stand out in the smell. Taste is super sweet, w/ fruit, malt, nuts, and some yeast coming into play. Really sweet. Almost too much so. Very carbonated, biting feel and the malt almost disappears in the feel. I wish the taste was more like the nose on this beer. Overall, I probably wouldn't buy this again, but it's decent for the style.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy deep brown color ale with a small off-white foamy head with light retention and no lacing. Aroma consists of sugary caramel with solid cereal backbone. Taste is also a mix of sugary caramel malt with loads of cereal in the malt bill. Some light alcohol was perceptible though not too the point of being gross. Balanced could be improve with too much sugar upfront. Body was quiet full with average carbonation.

Pours a deep bronze with a hew reddish highlights. The nose and taste consist of plenty of dark fruits and some sweet malt. The taste is a little bit too sweet at times, but otherwise this is very nice. Very smooth. Pretty full body; bready, almost chewy. Good drinkability.

500ml into pint glass.

Opaque mahogany hue with a two finger low-dense bubbly head that slowly settles to a thick cap.

Lots of sweet dark fruit, along with a little bit of coffee. Toasted grains.

Lots of sweet syrupy caramel along with a little dark fruit. The malts have a smokey and roasted quality to them. The hops add a little bit of a bitterness toward the end, which seems a little out of place for the style. Full bodied, highly carbonated.

Not a bad Scotch Ale, although a little fizzy and tart for the style. Worth a try.
