ATMOSPHERE : medium age 40+ , not crowdy because of its dimensions, but more frequented than an average bar in Italy. It's a place of meeting for locals, some people reserve tables to have nice dinner, while some other ones just have a beer and run out in the cold.
Personal draught at the table on request.
Periodically live music.

QUALITY : extreme good quality of beer and high quality food, every beer has its own branded glass ( anyway Vudu' beer glass is horrible), paper towels carry beer informations in details printed on it, nice metal tables and wood in the inside.
I can't give perfect 5/5 because of the poor free buffet : salted biscuits, bread, cold pasta, mayonnaise and bacon.

SERVICE : nice young persons serving, beers served at different temp.

SELECTION : huge styles of beers to pick from, just remember someone is seasonal . They sell their own production.

FOOD : typical dishes like slices and meat, with some quality italian cheese (Pienza) . Beer enters in some recipes too.

VALUE : objectively pricey, but you buy quality.
300cc : 2.9€ - 3.9€ .
Bottles in take-away 750cc 7.5€ - 8.5€ .
Bruschetta 4€ - 5€ .
Slices about 80g : 8.5€ .
Pienza cheese selection of 4 : 7.5€
Shinbone 9.5€ .

After reading an article in the NY Times that spotlighted several Italian brewpubs, I had to seek them out for myself. This place is only about 45 minutes from my home in Italy, so the time was right for a trip. I visited in the early evening with my family (including my 11 month old son). The pub is very easy to find, and there is plenty of free parking in a nearby lot. Unfortunately, we arrived too soon, and the kitchen was not yet opened. Although we contemplated waiting it out, our children got a little too bored. Still, we did spend long enough to sample several beers on tap, and enjoy the 'happy hour' buffet. The staff at Birrificio Italiano was fantastic. It was just a few young guys, serving beer, but they went out of their way to make sure that we felt at home. We were the only non-Italians in the pub, and few people spoke any English at all. Regardless of that, however, we felt right at home, and got fantastic treatment. The atmosphere is inviting. It's moderately lighted, with bunches of hops hanging from the ceiling of the dining room. The bar area is rather small, and seems to be frequented by locals. We saw lots of people stop in for one quick beer and then dart out again. The buffet was typical italian salame, pasta, and breads, but quite good. The beer was fantastic. It's nearly the best beer that we've had in Italy. They clearly take beer seriously here. Each beer style has it's own glass. The staff explains the intricacies of each brew (even in very broken English), and the quality is truly above average. All in all, we were very impressed with this place. We'll surely be back, making sure that we stay for dinner on the next visit.
