Reviewed on tap at the Casino cafe following the 2004 AHA convention in Vegas.
How do you end a full weekend in Vegas sampling craft brews and homebrews? Why you head to the home of the indefatigible Michael Ferguson in Henderson, the home of the Vegas brewed German brews.
The maibock arrives in the glas with an impressive recreation of the German grainy notes that are required of this style.
Lightly honey sweet with a long minderaly finish. that isn't as sweet as typical american versions of the style.

Sampled on tap at the brewpub.
This maibock poured a clear, amber color with off-white foam that persisted a bit but then settled. The smell was nicely malty. The taste was malty with a bit of Munich malt detectable. Modest hoppiness overall. The mouthfeel was smooth and crisp with medium body and medium carbonation. This was a very nice maibock, and I had more than one.
