This doppelbock poured a hazy amber brown with white foam. The modest smell was of malt. The taste was dominated by sweet malt with some caramel and toffee flavors evident. There was a slight alcohol taste as well. The mouthfeel was smooth and warming. The drinkability was good. This is a decent doppelbock.
