Throwback original California-style pale ale. Brewed with Magnum and loads of Cascade hops for a piney and grapefruity finish. Perfect accompaniment for grilled steaks and roasted vegetables.

16oz can, no apparent freshness date but I know it's fresh within the month. Copper colored ale with a creamy beige head. Fresh citrus and pine on the nose with some caramel malt. Big caramel malt backbone couples well with the big piney and citric hop bitterness; hops are a bit grassy and spicy for added complexity. Resinous hop bitterness builds on the palate; pleasant carbonation and a medium body with a bitter & dry finish. This is very reminiscent of the original west coast APAs. I dig it.
