This is definitely not what I was expecting, but it turned out reasonably well. The appearance was, well, bizarre for a Witbier. It poured very clear and bright, with minimal head and carbonation. The Muscles certainly smells like it should - banana and clove, and the taste follows the style, too. There is plenty of wheat, orange and spice in a mouthful, and it has a satisfying finish. This one is fine, but definitely not my thing.

Appearance - Pours a clear gold with a finger of foamy white head.
Smell - belgian yeast (banana, clove), coriander, hint of orange peel, sweet malts (touch of honey), peppery aromas, and light spicy floral hops.
Taste - Starts off with the belgian yeast (banana, clove), coriander, and hint of orange peel. The sweet malts (touch of honey) follow and the light spicy floral hops finish this one off. The flavours are a tad restrained from the aromas.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes with a light tartness and hit from the belgian yeast.
Overall - An easy drinking witbier. I was hoping that the flavours would of been a tad more pronounced in this one as the aroma initially suggested. Nice to see Banff continuing with their new bottle releases.
