I love the concept behind this beer, though I'm not sure I would rather meet a grizzly or a wild bison in the backcountry. In terms of the beer, this is a decent APA. Looks good, a slightly cloudy orange/copper with a nice white head. Definite lemon and hop in the nose. The flavour is tame, but pleasant, with the malt and hops doing a somewhat uncomfortable dance. Full points to Banff Ave for the good intentions behind this brew. The overall package would make me want to buy it again, both for the taste and the concept.

Appearance - Pours a orange amber with a finger of bubbly white head.
Smell - bready caramalts, light citrus and piney hops, mango, blueberry, hint of lemon.
Taste - Bready caramalts followed by the light citrus and piney hops then goes into the mango, blueberry, and hint of lemon.
Mouthfeel - Light to medium bodied with light to moderate carbonation. Finishes crisp and dry with the lingering notes from the mosaic hops.
Overall - An APA with the elements in place. I was hoping the mosaic hop profile would have been a little more pronounced. The mouthfeel also lacks for the style. Some adjustments would make this a stand out. Other than that, I admire the intiative behind this brew.
