3/27/19...clear gold with active upwards bubbles. Light foamy top. Lemon citrus nose. Slightly sweet open and then progresses into a piney bitter. Smooth low carbonation.

There is a lot to like in this beer, starting with the awesome label and overall concept. It doesn't get more Canadian than this, even if it is an APA. This is one of Banff Ave's newer beers and it is clear they have hit their stride. Pond Hockey Pale has just the right combination of malt, hop, and carbonation to create a very agreeable APA.

Appearance - Pours a golden amber with a finger of bubbly white head.
Smell - bready and biscuity malts, hint of caramel, earthy and leafy hops, lemon, orange,
Taste - Bready and biscuity malts dominate the brew followed by the light earthy and leafy hops. It then goes into the hint of caramel, lemon, and orange.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with light to moderate carbonation. Finishes crisp and dry with a lingering light bitterness from the earthy and leafy hops.
Overall - An easy drinking APA. The flavours are all there but a minor adjustment in the hop department will make this a winner.
