A mild kolsch style ale is the first beer brewed in Banff. It is a smooth session beer. No regrets in the morning after enjoying this blonde. Drink, enjoy, repeat.

Appearance- Pours a straw gold with a finger width of bubbly white head.
Smell- Grass, grains, apple, lemon.
Taste- Predominate flavours are grass and grains followed by a hint of apple. Finishes with a light bitterness.
Mouthfeel- Medium bodied with light carbonation. A tad watery.
Overall- A crisp and refreshing mild kolsch. A simple flavour palate that can easily be sessionable.

A pint in snowy, frigid (of course, during my visit) Banff.
This beer appears a glassy pale golden amber hue, with one skinny finger of thin, soapy off-white head, which disappears quite readily, leaving a few specks of island group lace around the glass for its efforts.
It smells of sweet grainy malt, a bit of orchard fruit, and mildly floral hops. The taste is more of the same, but somehow enhanced - moderately sweet biscuity pale malt, some tropical fruit, and a bit of a more of the zingy strain of earthy, floral hops.
The carbonation is a bit frothy and initially palate-twinging, the body medium-light in weight, generally smooth, and fairly fresh. It finishes warm and grainy, and thus a-ok by me.
A decent enough Kolsch (actual pub-side naming aside) - crisp and drinkable, well represented by the heady malt and zingy hop sides of things.

This beer pours a bright yellow color, with very nicehead. The smell wasnt presenet. The taste was a bit creamy, and had a slight malty flavor and a nice spice aftertone. The flavor wasnt very strong. Overall I felt for being advertised as a blonde ale, that it was pretty good.
