Still our complimented by a slice of lemon highest gravity product. Intense hop bitterness with high alcohol content. Copper in color, big on hop flavor & aroma with a dry crisp finish.

A: Served in a 23 oz. Glass. Has an clear Copper color with a decent head that faded fairly quickly with very little lacing.

S: Nice clean grainy aroma with a trace of a citrus-sweetness.

T: Has a mild citrus and hops taste with a so-so bitterness.

F: Fairly medium body & smooth. fairly well balanced but expected a bit more.

D: Decent beer, maybe good for a couple. Considering the brew house is in the middle of the Eldorado Casino, its a nice oasis.

Had this on 2009-09-15 at their location in the Eldorado. Had this again on 2015-06-21 at the same location.

I was pleased to find this microbrewery in the hotel complex.

The ale arrived in a 23 oz glass. It is copper in color with a 1.5 finger tan head.

It has a grainy, citric aroma.

The taste is also grainy and citric with a healthy dose of hops. It has a sour finish that irked me after awhile.

Medium carbonation and very drinkable.

Once again, following money and a honey, I found myself lost in Reno. Why not have a drink? At the casino pub this one poured a clear deep copper color with a thick head that diminished after a while into good lacing. The aromas were caramel malt and floral hops. Not a lot of depth but good balance. The flavors were similar, bready malt and a citric hope bite that makes the beer crisp. Though listed an American IPA I'd call it an American Pale Ale. Still, it's a good beer with a nice mouthfeel and solid flavors. Glad I ordered a tall one!

Pours a clear dark copper, dense one finger head, clingy lacing. Smell: caramel and toasted malts and good amount of noble and slightly citric hops. Taste: fairly balanced for an IPA, more like an APA. Noble and citric hops are balanced by bready malts. Mouthfeel: juicy, medium bodied, slight hard water feel, drying finish. A pale ale, but not the hop bomb that you might expect from the name and the description on the menu.

This was a gift to me from my g/f when she got back from Reno on business. She brought it to me in a huge, kicka$$ growler that they use there. She said it was kind of expensive, but the growler itself was a work of art. The beer had a frothy head that went to laceing after a while. It's body was an amber/dark straw which was pretty neat. I was impressed that it stayed this carbonated, even after being in the growler for a few days. The taste was smooth, but also had a sharp hop bite to it as well. Along with the bite, it had a slight trace of alcohol and malt, with a orangey/lemon undertone. The smell was similar, but had a little more of the alcohol present. Overall a good find for my g/f. Major props to her.

The beer arrived at the table crystal clear medium amber golden with a low white head which lasted well to lace the glass.

The aroma was malty with a light caramel presence and a fruity and citrusy hop aroma. The hop aroma was also floral.

The flavor was malty with a nice hop presence. The bittering was slightly citrusy and well done. The flavor was fruity with a pleasingly sweet malt presence.

The finish was just dry with lasting bubtle bittering that lasted well into the aftertaste. The body was medium full.

Sample followed by a 15 ounce glass of this elixir. Don't know why this is styled as an IPA. It was listed as a higher gravity ale, but it is something between an APA and an Old Ale, but certainly not bitter enough for an IPA.

I was rather impressed with this beer. Nice deep amber/orange color. Rick thick head that never eroded away. The head made it difficult to get a decent sense of smell from it. Got a decent full flavor punch to it...considering the fact that it is from a brewer inside a casino that caters to tourists more so than locals. Of the two beers I tried form these guys, this one was definately the best. I also overheard several other people ordering the Big Dog probably reminding me that I made a wise choice with this beer.
