A light style European beer low on hop and aroma. Very refreshing with a light finish.

a light drinkable yellow beer, not sure if its supposed to be a kolsch or a pils or just like a european golden type, its so mild its almost hard to really break it down, and id been drinking long enough at the time i had it where the details are a little fuzzy, but its cold and fresh and refreshing at the source, nice with the spicy pizza i had at their little brewpub inside the casino, crisp enough like it cold be cold conditioned anyway, but there is some of the fruitiness as it warms that does come from kolsch yeast, so lets go with that. slightly sweet, a little bit herbal, a touch bready but without the mass. clear and golden from the tap but without a very long lived head, average carbonation overall, light body, sort of a brassy minerality as it warms that stops short of being metallic to me. trace citrus in the center of the flavor but the whole thing is gone pretty quick, perhaps a tad cheap tasting, but this is just easy yellow beer that might be the lightest thing on their menu at any given time, a layup for macro beer guy, but beyond that its fairly basic, does better in a food context, and doesnt quite have the refinement i found in their better altbier. still, it was cool to find this place, unexpected even, and we had a great time giggling and losing pennies on the old school video poker at the bar!

Comes out of the tap a pretty clear golden with a decent white head. Crisp, malty aroma has a hint of pear. Malty flavor is crisp and typical of a lager, except for being fuller and deeper than most and having a firm fruity undertone. Firm-bodied texture is lively and tingly.

Ultra clear, golden in color, not much head but that's probably the bartender's fault. Spotty lacing. Smell: light toasted malt, grain, noble hops, and that musty Kolsch smell. Taste: light grain, nice light hop presence, grapey. Mouthfeel: light bodied, nice carbonation. A really nicely done Kolsch, extremely sessionable.
