Pours a beautiful clear amber with a thick off-white head. Malty aroma has a hoppy undertone and a hint of fruit. Malty flavor fills the mouth with fruit, hops and wood and is slightly bitter but has a hint of honey sweetness. Body is average, but it has plenty of fizz.

I had this beer on my way to my gate at the Reno Airport , where the Brew Brothers have a bar/restaurant. Appearance was just as the name suggests: golden and pale. It was served cold in a tumbler and took a while to warm up where it could be tasted. Light gold in color, it had little head or lacing. Aroma was faint to none.
Taste was nothing to write home about, although it improved as it warmed. There was some caramel or biscuit malt and bitterness with faint floral or citrus hop flavor. The bitterness was more metallic or medicinal.
The beer was highly carbonated, refreshing. But it was little more than a lawnmower PA, drinkable and not bad, but hardly exciting. Oh, and BTW, this 14-oz brew cost $6.15 + $0.47 tax, one of the bigger rip-offs I experienced in Reno. Due to the price, I bet against this one.

As I behold the majesty of the runway of the Reno - Tahoe Airport, Maria places a 14oz glass (my choices were 14 and 25oz) of the Golden Dollar Pale Ale before me. "A full bodied, American-style pale ale. Dry and crisp, this beer has distinct hop flavors with citrus and tropical overtones," at least that's what the menu tells me.
The beer is straw colored with a small head. Retention is not good and there is minimal lacing. There is a faint aroma of citrus and earthiness. Flavor is of orange and lemon. Bitterness is low and alcohol is unnoticeable.
The beer is most certainly not full bodied. That's an outright lie! Light bodied and good carbonation, with a dry, crisp mouthfeel.

Pours golden yellow, clear, with white head. Very good appearance.
Nose is light, citrusy, and on the weaker side but there nonetheless.
Palate is crisp, dry, lemony, with plenty of prickly hops in there to keep it interesting. It was presented as a leading choice among customers, and I was surprised at how hoppy the leading beer was in fact (was expecting a weak golden ale).
Crisp on the finish and very refreshing.

This beer was a deep golden color, had a thinnish head but laced the glass decently. Aroma was weak but earthy and malt centered. Taste was zingy, hoppy and refreshing. I detected some grapefruit and lemony tones in the finish. A decent pale that overcame the totally inappropriate glassware it was served in.
