Oh man dusting off some old reviews from this retched watering hole. The prototypical stepdad homebrewer's fave style: red ale. Pairs well with white new balance shoes or whatever they're selling in the middle of Costco. Sometimes red ales are nice and crimson colored with good clarity and an off white head. This one was dubious in appearance, questionable if this was food coloring or actual malted barley to get the muddled brown and red color going. Head? Nahdog. Nothing there to retain. Aroma did yield some of those boring malty red tones.
The taste lacked bitterness and hopping. The mouth feel was overly carbonated and further diminished what little beer ingredients there was. There is a reason they rarely put this on tap anymore.

Strange beer. Arrived in 16oz. glass with no head. Barely looked like an amber. Very watery. Weak carbonation at best. Tasted like a soda rather than a beer. Mouthfeel was so light but somewhat creamy. Had a very off sweet taste. I should have tried one of their other beers.

After the pale I figured the red would be nice too. Wrong! No head to speak of, zero lace, and a very weak amber color. Taste was malt accented had some subtle hops but was very dry. Not near as good as the pale was. Oh well can't win em all. This beer gets trounced by even the middlin ambers I've had

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
