Served in a small tumbler glass, quick review from written notes.
Thanks to Joe for sharing!
Not many Lichtenhainers out there, nice to try this one, but it was a little odd.
Smokey and sour, definitely a combo that's an acquired taste.
Body was a pale golden orange, it poured with no head and scant foam around the edges that seemed to disperse immediately.
Aroma was nice, a pervasive bacon-y scent of sweet smoked pork.
Tangy and tart, verging on sour with a lingering smoked bacon taste. Sour bacon.
Thin bodied and acidic with low level carbonation. Overall it was a little difficult to keep drinking after the first few sips. Gave it the old college try.

A lichtenhainer style which was nice as the berlinerweisse was on tap as well. Pours a slight hazy lemony yellow color with next to no head retention to speak of.
The nose was interesting. A smokey character was the first thing that was detectable. Some hints of sourness but really smoke is strong. Although it seemed like the sourness came out more as it warmed and got use to the beer. A more bacony like aroma with a hint of lemon.
The taste was the opposite. The sourness came out first and a bit assertive. More of a lemony lactic acid note. But quickly the smoke came on with a more cured bacon like flavor and a hint of saltiness. As it warmed, the smoke seemed to come out more versus the sourness.
The body was light to semi-moderate. Some bit but more from the lactic notes. A interesting beer.
