Looks like Grimm Brothers are expanding their repertoire and bringing in some Belgian stylings into their catalog. This one is a Belgian-American Amber.
Pours caramel amber with a khaki head. Aroma offers some nice spiciness from the Belgian yeast, caramel, belgian candy, and a touch of some hops. Aroma is quite good but flavor doesn't live up to it though. Spicy Belgian yeast, candied sugar, caramel, bitter hops. A crisp, medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, alright beer but far from Grimm Brothers best offerings. This was a bit like a lesser Funkwerks Solenna. Could drink again but doubt I would, better beers to choose from.
