a hybrid beer from Grimm Brothers here; americanized in the hop department, German in its use of malts and yeast. Had German Pale Ale been an available style to chose, that's what I would have gone with for style here.
Pours burnt orange with an off white head. Amarillo hops do a nice job shining in the aroma with some nice citrus, nice sweet graininess, and a touch of candy liked sweetness perhaps from the yeast? Flavor is very balanced and smooth following suit of the aroma but closing out with a touch of piney bitterness. Really enjoy the inclusion of the german components to the pale ale style. A medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Overall, such an easy (and enjoyable) drinker from Grimm Brothers here. Would happily drink again and looking forward to checking out the future Odds & Ends releases that use different hops varieties.
