A double indian pale lager. Interesting. Pours a coppery orange color with a darker amber hue through out. A good head with limited retention and lacing.
The nose is hop forward. A good amount of citrus and a touch of pine to balance. Some minor tropical fruits and a little nutty thing on the back end. The malt is secondary but a soft generic malt and hint of bready undertones is there. No real esters or phenols.
The flavor is hop forward but the malt come out more vs the nose. Citrus and a bit of pine with a light lemon undertone. The malt is a bit sweeter with more of a bready backing. A light distinct Munich notes as well. A noticeable lager finish leaving a clean aftertaste that lets the hops linger.
The body is really nice and a clean finish. Some astringency from the hop. A bit sweet but overall a pretty good beer.
