Combining the easy drinkability of a wheat beer with the crisp clean finish of a German lager we give you Hans The Hedgehog. Traditionally a wheat beer is made with ale yeast but more recently there has been a "WeiPi" style in Germany combining the popular styles, Weissbier, an ale, and Pilsner, a lager.

For our version we let lager yeast take the lead during fermentation so instead of the esters (fruity) and phenols (spicy) you would normally get from a weizen yeast, the malt and hops play center stage. Enjoy the malty sweetness that pairs well with the body from wheat malt for a complex yet subtle and easy drinking wheat beer.
