Pours a hazy dark brown color with a soft fizzy head. Good retention through the tasting.
The nose is complex. A soft chocolate nose comes out first, but some lighter hefe-esk yeast notes come out after. Light banana but noticeable cloves. Some bubblegum. Slightly yeasty but not over the top.
The taste is similar. A soft palate over all. The wheat is noticeable giving it a soft base. The chocolate is really noticeable. More of a coco flavor. The yeast backs off in the taste. But the banana cloves are noticable. The bubblegum backs off too but still there.
The body is moderate. Some creamy textures from the wheat that really balances well. Overall a pretty good dunkleweisse
