Appearance: dark brown in color with a wispy head.
Smell: big malt sweetness along with some dark fruits and a definite boozy nose.
Taste: this is a very malt-forward beer. Toffee, dark plums, brown sugar sweetness, and a strong alcohol warming creates a nice flavor profile. Bitterness is moderate, but takes a back seat to the malty goodness here.
Mouthfeel: heavy in body. Smooth throughout, with a long lasting dry aftertaste.
Overall: this is a very slow sipping beer since it is so big with flavor and alcohol. One is enough in a session, but this will satisfy any craving for a malty beer. You will play plenty of video poker at the bar while you enjoy one glass of this.
