Had on tap in June 2009.

Appearance: clear light orange in color with a 1" head. Some light lace develops.

Smell: caramel sweetness and a slight nutty / earthy tone is pleasant on the nose.

Taste: caramel, earthiness, ripe plums, and decent bitterness creates a nice maibock.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied. Lightly crisp to start, smooth and a bit dry at the finish. Aftertaste is long as the flavors linger on the tongue.

Drinkability: easy drinking beer that is worth giving a shot when on tap.

Sampled on-tap at the brewpub (April 2007).

This Maibock poured a clear, golden-amber color with persistent white foam. The smell was nice with a strong, Munich malty aroma. The taste was malty with good Munich malt flavor, and a touch of sweetness. The hoppiness was moderate but well balanced. The mouthfeel was smooth and malty with medium body and moderate carbonation. The malty flavor and hoppiness lingered pleasantly in the aftertaste. This was a very drinkable maibock, and I enjoyed a few.

pours out a clear light caramel with a decent sized fluffy white head. good lacing. the aroma is light, some malt, faint caramel...not much though. mildly creamy in the mouth yet retaining a good crispness from a nice carbonation. the flavor is ok, pretty malty, no bitter bite what-so-ever and a noticable alcohol kick on the finish. not really my kind of beer, but it was alright.
