Appearance: clear brown in color with a 1/2" tan head. No lacing develops. Mild carbonation levels.
Smell: pepper spice, caramel, and a hint of whiskey.
Taste: nice strong maltiness with some caramels, pepper spice, peat, and a hint of bitterness.
Mouthfeel: smooth at the start and finish, and the flavors linger briefly on the tongue after swallowing.
Drinkability: nicely drinkable and a solid scottish ale. Must try if on tap.

Poured a solid mahogany color with some black highlights as a I scanned it from the light of the videopoker machine.
Aroma of some peaty, smoked malts and chocolate and caramel sundae.
Flavors were mostly in the caramel range with a hint of mild bitter chocolate and just a fiant hit of some smoked, peat malt whiskey notes.
Mouthfeel was a bit thin for style and no real lingering palate coating feelig was there.
Drinakability was above average but could have been better. Just a bit off and not sure if the beer at just slightly oxidized or not. Overall above average but not earth shattering
