A blend of Epic Brewing’s monster imperial stout Big Bad Baptist and Strange’s tart fruit explosion Cherry Kriek, the result is a complex journey thru coffee, chocolate, and cherries.

Hard beee to rate because it is literally an even mix of two completely different beer styles. All I can go off is the drinking characteristics of the final product because there’s no standard to compare to. And to me, the drinking experience is a really good one where there’s harmony between the two different beers and the net result is highly enjoyable.
I would say the cherry kriek plays the dominant role overall, but it’s well complemented by the malts, espresso, and dark chocolate of the stout. I’ve enjoyed similar combinations (eg, a cuvee of Lagunitas Stout and Black Swan) where fruits and dark beer blend really well, and the experience is similar here. Looks like a reddish-brown liquid with minimal head and zero lacing. Cherry dominant on the nose. But the flavor (still cherry forward and sweet but with some wonderful balancing malts, bitterness, and dark chocolate. And the feel is incredibly silky despite a thin look.
Would actually love more Baptist in the mix. But this is a tasty and extremely drinkable collab that offers up something unique.

This was not a good blend, had hints of maraschino cherries in the front followed by combination of coffee and chocolate but coffee is over cooked and chocolate is to dark which makes it just take gritty and like 2 day old burnt coffee with grounds in it that has been sitting on a warming plate.

Lush chocolatey cherry notes with ridiculous smoothness. Coffee stout meets cherry kriek in a duet of darkness. Girlfriend loves it. A plus.
