On tap at Ellis Island, 11/5/06.

Appearance got my hopes up. Dark gold, clear, with a medium, off-white head.

Aroma was hard to pick up. Smokiness of casino probably had a lot to do with that. What I could get was malty in character - Caramel.

Taste was not very good. Almost all malt, with a touch of hops at end (floral). Malt character seemed to be caramel. There was a sickly sweet aftertaste that got more pronounced as I worked through the glass. Definately, not a favorite.

Mouthfeel was average. Light bodied, with low carbonation. Very sweet finish, but not cloying.

Overall, pretty bland, with the most memorable characteristic being the unpleasant aftertaste. Not a beer I would drink again.
