22oz. bomber - my first introduction to a brewery I've been meaning to try for some time

A: Pours a fine, warm amber color with a good head that dissipates slowly.

S: Smell is light, a bit difficult to discern, but clean and hoppy.

T: The taste is maltier and less crisp than the smell, but overall a nicely balanced with only a slight floral bitterness. The taste is smooth, but with a slight burning sensation, which is a bit unusual without being bad.

M: The feel was a bit empty, and was by far the weakest aspect of this beer.

D: Reasonably drinkable. If this was a smaller bottle or a pint, I'd probably have another, but not necessarily right in a row.

Overall, a solid brew that may or may not have been the best introduction to the People's Pint, but it made enough of a good impression for me to look forward to trying some other offerings.

Pours a two finger off-white head that fades quickly leaving some lace. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Cloudy amber color. Nose is light grapefruit hops. Flavor is grapefruit hops and hints of caramel. $5.45 for a 22oz bottle from Colonial Spirits, Acton, MA.

22 oz bomber. Hazy amber/orange colour with a little bit of beige foam that dissipated quickly. Dry maltiness in the nose, biscuity, citrusy hops, grapefruit. Moderate bitterness, citrus fruitiness and sweetness up front. Oranges. Dry and a bit chalky towards the end with more bitterness, grapefruit, and slight herbal character. Medium bodied with lowish carbonation. Easy drinking. I'd have no problem picking one of these up again.

Aroma? What aroma? Be sure to only half-fill the glass because you're going to need plenty of space to get your face in there to inhale v-e-r-y deeply just to pull out any aroma. You might note some attractively perfumed orange smells and some caramel and vanilla, as I did. Very little head from this one because there's practically zero carbonation, which is the downfall of this otherwise rather tasty (if non-aromatic) beer. You'll be able to taste some light hoppy oranges and perhaps a bit of lemon, and the caramelly-biscuity malt base is nicely up front (as it should be in an APA) but all this is completely undone by the flat body. There's no fizz, no fuzz, no edge, no bite; as such this brew wanders into fruit-punch territory. This may be the only APA you'll ever have that won't make you burp.

The beer pours a slightly hazy almost dirty water orange amber color. There isn't much head going on with this beer and no lacing. The beer is low carbonation. The nose isn't all that pungent and doesn't give that much away. There are some sweetish, almost bubblegum flavored malts, some floral hop, a touch of herbal tea qualities also present. I had to stick my face and cup the glass to get a real sense of what is in the aroma. It's just not assertive.

The taste isn't all that assertive either, although there are plenty of good qualities present. The beer is medium bodied, a touch syrupy, and that is a good thing. This beer needs some quickening. The taste is a bit too watery. There are some leafy hop notes, some cracked grain and doughiness underneath, some orange hop hints in there too. The taste is a touch salty in the finish, a bit drying, a bit of a spicy hop quality as well. There is an orange blossom quality to the hop that is probably the most pronounced quality that I can detect. This is a decent APA, nothing great, but more than respectable.

German-style refillable growler filled at People's Pint yesterday.

First imperial pint glass pours with minimal bubbling, most of which clings to the rim, with an island in the middle, and swirls covering the remainder. Lacing is average, with the brew is a slightly cloudy orangey brown. Aroma is balanced, with biscuity and light fruity notes present. Flavor starts with light to moderate sweetness, countered by a gritty hoppiness, which all adds up to well-balanced flavor profile, which closes with some chalkiness. Mouthfeel is soft on carbonation, and drinkability is easy.

Had on tap at the brewpub. The beer had a murky gold appearance with no distinguishable head or lacing. Aromas had faint hops and citrus, but nothing too strong. Taste was a little watered down but still retained a pale ale sweetness to it. The mouthfeel was really disappointed; the drink lacked a good carbonated punch that really could have excelled this drink. Overall, this was an ok pale ale.

Poured deep reddish brown, with a half inch head that diminished quickly.. I had two Providers and each appearance was different so this is a combination of the two. Smell was robust with heavy hops and floral wisps. Heavy hops, almost IPAish, finished a little bitter. A fine beer at a potential great brew pub.

The Peoples Pint suffers from beer apnea. They are too inconsistent with appropriate glassware and serving temperature. Which is really a shame because their beer when "on" is fantastic.

It poured a coppery red color with a fast fading off white head.
A robust blast of fresh baked bread rises in the nose then mixes with a whiff a citrus, cut fruit and dried hay.
A malty taste of salt-free crackers and sweet malt lay in harmony with light citrusy hops and a bit of a floral hop finish. An odd taste of oregano is noticed.
This is a smooth and balanced brew. I missed the noticeable dry oaky taste normally found in the cask style.
