Really nice beer. Kinda cheap calling it the breakfast stout, but very tasty.

On-tap at the Foundry, Northampton, MA.
A- Dark black pour from the tap to a tulip glass with a tan head forming to about a finger. Falls over time to a small ring with minimal webs of lace. Decent retention.
S- Deep roastiness with both the chocolate powder and coffee aspects being important to the foundation. Charred grains, medium roast coffee beans and very clean beyond the main components.
T- As many breakfast stouts do, this brings chocolate and coffee to the table but the particular flavors of each are rich and find balance. French press roasty beans, milk semi dark chocolate, smooth burnt grains and slight caramel sweets.
MF- Towards the thick side of things, a shade shy of being really big. Creamy, chewy and quite silky. Carbonation is medium high and very smoothed out by the texture. Finishes warm.
One of the best local breakfast stouts I can think of besides the obvious Good Morning gem. Finds a great complimentary balance of everything. Great surprise.
