Pours a leathery orange-brown, topped with a two finger white head. Leaves rings of lacing, with thick webs in spots.
Robust citrus and herb aroma, peppery, caramel.
Strong citrus presence in the taste, grapefruit and lemon, pepper, toffee.
Medium bodied, moderate carbonation.

Very red with gold edges, no head or lacing (perhaps because it is from a growler). Smell is a lot of alcohol and cherry esters, some sweet candy malt and hop sting. Where are the hops in this IIPA? This does not deserve its place in the style. This is a sweet, malty barleywine much in the vein of SNbigfoot, except with a lot less hops all around. Low carbonation, slick and semi-sweet. A fine beer that is simply misclassified.
