Let me start by saying : This is the second brewery/brew pub I ever visited. Mcneiil's Brewery in Brattleboro, VT being the first and most frequented. Opened in 1997 (the year I graduated HighSchool) it was amoung only a few of its kind in the late 90's. Western Mass and Vermont are true trailblazer states for the "craft" movement here in New England. I've had many offering on-tap at the bar. Now, on to the beer at hand.....
500 ml bottle.

A slight haze ...unfiltered?....Golden honey color, lively and healthy enough to sustain a smooth and rocky, creamy white foam cap. Lots of lace leftover.

The aroma is bursting with tropical and citrus scented hops. Sweet pine and citrus with a light, honey sweet and earthy grains malt smell under the seriously aromatic hops.

Such a crisp malty bite! Very clean with a bunch of dry-earthy bitter tones from the hops, with citrus and pine flavor popping in later. This is a very complex hop for APA. Ultra crispy malt, light honey and pilsner like sharp effect. The hops are multilayered with mostly citrus and pine, bitter and earthy finish.

I gotta go back to the mouthfeel....it's crisp, jazzy, then smooth and full, long creamy middle and a dry finish. Very, very nice.

This is a high grade APA. Excellent feel, deep hop flavor's and a malt that really impresses. Excellent balance. The dry and bitter finish might be IPA level.
