A: Small but persistent head; amber in color. Very nice to look at.
S: Fascinating mix os old hops, caramel, whiskey, yeast.
T: For the ABV quite powerful. Plenty of whiskey in the flavor with oak, vanilla, coconut. A very long finish of oak and more whiskey.
M: Surprisingly like the original; more carbonation than the look would indicate. Lively but simple.
O: A real treat. Barrel-aged IPAs are tricky to pull off and this one delivers on all fronts. All of the flavors you want without being overdone. It retains a solid hoppy character with 7 months in the barrel. Superb.
