Appearance lacked the blackness. Aroma was absent, but nothing bad.

Taste and mouthfeel was brown ale at best, just wasn't stout territory. Really this is the crossover like Guinness to try and get people to drink a dark beer.

Just not my cup of tea, below average for Great Basin and stouts as a whole.

Poured out looking pretty average or below average even. There wasn't really any black in it, just a mix of brown and to a lesser degree, dark red, mild, weak tan head. Aroma totally lacking.

Super weak sauce in the taste and mouthfeel department, difficult to even call this a porter. Like a blend of a porter and brown ale. Smooth, yet thin. Nitro tap.

Great Basin Stout Week always brings out a plethora of stout options. I usually try to drink all of them.

On my way into town for March Madness 2013, I stopped in at Great Basin for Stout Week! I drank every stout they had. The nitro version of this beer was the least impressive (none were bad).

It didnt even look as impressive of a beer compared to the non nitro version, nothing black, some brown and red pour, thin, tan head. Aroma was missing.

Taste, meh, a watery mouthfeel, wasn't as dry as I was hoping, flavor impact was just minimal in terms of chocolate/chocolate malt. It was smooth, but it was so thin at the same time.

This was almost Beamish weak. FWIW, I did score the regular version 3.75/3/3.5/3.5/3.5

So strange that on nitro this wasn't as good, but I don't think it had much of anything to smooth out, so that was probably the issue.
