On tap at Engine 15 (JAX).
Dark reddish-brown body that is topped by a decent head. Looks like light bourbon.
Nice but faint aroma suggests sweet and smoked malts.
Flavor: good bitter-sweet balance. Smokey ... way more smokey than any alt bier I've had.
The body is smooth, medium bodied, and well (medium) carbonated.
Overall. too smokey for style for my taste.

A - Poured with a small head of off white foam on top of a very dark brown body. The head settles quickly and leaves good lace.
S - An aroma of dark bread, caramel, and light smoke.
T - Dark bread and caramel up front. Some molasses in the middle with a smoky note and a finish of smoky caramel, red apple, and peppery spice.
M - Medium-thick body, moderate carbonation, and a balanced finish.
D - I don't really know what is going on here, it seems like it may be both smoked and peppered, but if so it is done with subtlety. Overall it is moderately complex with a balanced finish and whatever it is, it's reasonably drinkable.
