Served in a 10oz snifter. Body is a rich orange-brown color with some bright red highlights. A small, creamy white head quickly subsides, leaving just a thin ring. Aroma of rich, sweet, bready malt and a good dose of fruity hops. Notes of citrus and a very faint sweetness that's akin to corn syrup are present.
Palate is malt-forward, with a nice bready character that is pleasant and not too sweet. Some fruity hops come through before the swallow and stick around for a while. A mild apricot flavor is detectable on the swallow, followed by a lingering, dry bitterness on the finish. This is a beer where he malt and hops are really fighting it out, and the hops end up the last man standing. Body is full, very slightly creamy, and just a touch sticky on the finish. A nice seasonal that's a little hard to describe. Still, it's plenty tasty.
