Enjoyed at Le Mondial 2016.
Pours a nice golden body, average head with a nice touch of sweetness. The alcohol is well hidden in this one though could use a bit more Belgian yeast.

Pours a pale straw-gold colour, slight cloud to it with white head. Looks a little thin, but pretty decent.
Smell is phenolic, as one would expect, and quite sweet, as one would also expect. Lemon character on there and maybe a touch of rosewater? Floral, lavender and frangipani aroma. Quite sweet, but with a touch of Belgian rubberiness. Not bad.
Woah, so sweet on the palate. Huge malt rush on the front and not much on the back. Touch of nutmeg spice but fairly thin otherwise. Tastes underfermented and gives a big nod to crystallised honey. It could be very much enjoyed by some but it's not really my thing.
Can't really find the alcohol which is a good thing; decent body otherwise too.
Was meant to be a 'spiced' tripel, but I get more honey than spice and it's all very, very sweet. Not a terrible beer but I'm a bit disappointed.

Pours hazy dark amber with a large, lasting head.
Nose shows cinnamon, doughy notes, spices, light malt and banana. Pretty unorthodox.
Similar flavours; more doughy notes, cinnamon, spices, banana and wheat. A bit off-putting.
Carbonation needs to be higher, feels heavy at the moment.

On-tap at the Local Taphouse's Italian Spectapular.
Pours a deep golden colour, with some minor hazing. Head is just a ring of fine white that leaves some patchy lacing. Body looks solid. Pretty decent look.
Nose is potent and broad. Big bubblegum characters come through, along with a biting medicine character. At its core it's sweet, however, with big marzipan characters coming through. Impressively big, indeed.
Light bubblegum on the entry of the palate as well, with a creamy, rounded Belgian note progressing. Back falls away slightly, leaving no crispness to clean up—it leaves the palate feel oily. It's not bad. The smooth feel is actually a nod in its favour.
Overall, this was one of the better beers I had at the SpecTapular. Solid and pretty tasty.

Bottle purchased from Birrae Domus in Rome.
Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a two-finger white head. The head recedes into a thin layer on top leaving thick lacing.
Smells of loads of spices - coriander leading the pack with other nondescript spices. Also present are good amounts of pilsner malt aromas, floral hops, and milder amounts of light fruits.
Tastes similar to how it smells. Crisp pilsner malt flavors kick things off and serve as the backbone throughout. Shortly thereafter robust yet delicate spices factor into things - coriander as in the aroma but with hints of white pepper as well. Midway through the sip the flavors sweeten a bit and mild amounts of pear flavors come out. Right before a crisp ending floral flavors work their way into things with hints of tea leaves.
Mouthfeel is great. It has a flawless thickness with grainy carbonation.
Drinkability is also great. I finished my glass entirely too quickly and had to wonder where it went.
Overall I was a big fan of this beer. It's not a classic tripel but it is very well done. Very much worth a shot.
