served up a deep brown, lightly cloudy with a small white head that left a nice lacing throughout the drink sesh. aroma is malty, sweet with notes of chocolate and caramel. medium bodied and lightly crisp in the mouth. as far as taste goes, this is not the dunkle weisse im used to. right off the bat a strong chocolate malt hit is noticed, fading into an toasty/caramel malt like state then finishing in an odd, but tasty apricot wave that is lightly sour. very different, retaining none of the dunkle weisse traits im used to. still a good beer that i would have again.
