Sitting at Tenaya Brewing counter and looking up at the chalkboard to see what is new. Their Bonanza Brown is a decent brown ale, but with coconut, almond and cocoa nibs, I am down. A medium copper color with ruby highlights in the beer. No clarity and no carbonation is visible from the glass. A one finger off white head with okay retention.
Toasty malts, almonds Hershey chocolate, toffee, caramel, nutty, cereal, fruity esters, yeasty, and some tropical notes.
Roasted malts, nutty, Hershey chocolate, toffee, caramel, woody, fruity, toasted coconut, earthy, and a tropical note.
Medium minus body, medium carbonation, medium finish, and a touch creamy.
This beer is just okay. The problem I have with this beer is the beer is thin and watery. The flavors are watered down, if the body could be a bit thicker and not so watery this would be a good beer.
