I don't know if I've ever had an ipa that was this color. Somewhere with yellow as the base, but then pink and purple get added. No doubt, with red plums, grapefruit peel and peppercorns, you're gonna get some color on this one. The aroma is largely absent hop wise. The peppercorns are noticeable in the aroma.
The fruit sweetness and peppercorn pop spice are the most noticeable things here right out the gate. The hopping is nothing like an ipa. I noticed at this year's Strange Brew 2018 festival, there were a lot more ipas as the brews, but almost all of them lacked any hoppiness discernable. I dunno if its just more popular and easier to market as ipas or what, but this one, like the others, lacked hoppiness or bitterness of an ipa. The peppercorn influence was enjoyable and the most impressionable thing about the beer.
Bad for an ipa, otherwise pretty average if you come at it as a fruit beer with peppercorn.
