Sample at Freakin' Frog in Las Vegas (as "Spiced Ale" - also sampled at Tenaya as "Winter Warmer Spiced Ale"). This beer is a mostly clear dark amber-brown color with a medium thin beige head that diminishes steadily. Spotty lacing. The aroma is mildly malty and spicy. Medium, smooth body with flavors of chocolate malt, spice and touches of sweet fruit. The finish is short and spicy with a light cinnamon and ginger aftertaste. Average overall.

I may be wrong on the availability of this brew but the brewers' website does not mention it as of 8/26/2008.
Presented dark red with brown tinge. Clear but not much light penetration. Creamy, 1" head. Tan in color and good lacing.
Smell is sweet, burnt malt, raisins, dirt, wheat and yeast.
Taste is sweet malt, wheat, raisins, hops.
Medium-full body, light effervescence, smooth with a little hops in the aftertaste. A fine brew and I would definitely drink this again.
