Just added this beer to this Next Glass owned database. Owned. Remember pwned? But its not just enough to help out with employment, but also, one step beyond, hey, let's also review the beer. You're welcome.gif.
Pours the uber familiar golden color of beer. 1/3" white head, decent clarity. The aroma hit the non proprietary classical C hop notes. Strata usually smells firmly with both feet in the proprietary realm, so getting mostly grapefruit and pine out of this was a surprise. No strawberry or tropical fruit notes.
The taste was pretty much a mild low maltiness barley (single malt after all) with a decent bittering hop feel to the mouthfeel. The beer did nothing wrong. It just really didn't come across as a Strata hop. Like I said it was more like Centennial. Which isn't a slight. You just set up some expectations that don't get met. It tastes like a smash C hop beer, that is the succinct review I would say.
