A: Parchment toned large head sits above a dark caramel apple colored body. Within a strong presence of carbonation. Lacing was splattered and chunky on the glass.
S: Nose was scotchy caramel with a hint of smoked peat, lightly accented.
T: Flavor was scotchy caramel sweetness, peat, toasted malt, munich with a hint of smoky woodiness. Orange peel, caramelized apple, resinous hints of spruce and a smoky leave. Some bright moments of golden hops, hints of chocolate covered fruit.
M: Good carbonation factor, medium bodied, turns frothy on the hold.
O: Overall nice complexity, good deal of strength and flavor above style. Caramelized malt, spicy hops, easy drinking.

A-Pours a very dark brown. Seems to be clear when held up to the light. Huge, creamy head. Head is tan and very lacy. Absolute curtains of lace.
S-Floral, tea-like hops with some soap. A light whiff of chocolate and dark bread. Reminds me of Pumpernickel bread. On the softer side in terms of intensity.
T-More floral and long-steeped tea. Also some suds. Toffee and caramel too. Dark breads as well. A bit fruity as well. Mild bitterness. Herbal. Light milk chocolate.
M-Mild bitterness. A hint of booze. Soft bubbles. Medium (leaning towards light) bodied. Solid drinkability.
O/D-Tasty. Good mixture of hop and malt. Complex enough to keep me mostly interested.
